Sandwich of Cardboard

[Verse 1]
You gave me a sandwich of cardboard with glue and glitter, it was sour and bitter
(It was sour and bitter, it was sour and bitter)

[Verse 2]
You gave me a love pie with sauce of your heart, it was sweet and salt
(It was sweet and salt, it was sweet and salt)

Playful offbeat indie pop with jaunty piano stabs, plucked bass, handclaps, and slightly wonky brass accents. Bouncy mid-tempo groove; conversational lead vocal with cheeky phrasing, doubled refrain responses, and a small lift into the second couplet. Keep the arrangement crisp, colorful, and lightly theatrical, with a punchy close.
