life without dad

i was only 5 when the world switched paths
i was always struggling with my real dad
he always made me feel like i was being trapped
the day he hit my mom is when i finally snapped
used my little hands and started banging on his legs
screaming real loud when he finally gave in
he walked out the room and just sat out the back
police showed up and finally took him away
but then he was released the very next day
thought it be me my mom and sister for life
then my moms new boyfriend came into sight
i didnt have a good feeling bout him
just thought it would be a relapse of the past
i was saying your not my dad you dont tell me what to do
but now how all that time has flew
he is like a dad to me
and he is great to my mom
i am 16 now its been nearly 12 years
but i still cant forget about what my dad did
life without him started ever so weird
but he is unforgivable and shouldnt be here
i still tell my mom that when i grow up
i am gonna find him and beat him up
he still tries to message me tryna gain my trust
but i just ignore him so he will give up
