I sit here by the phone wondering what's taking you so long. When I finally here your trembling voice i know there's something wrong. You say you'll always love me then you tell me we are through. And i sit here saying nothing, not knowing what to do. Then the tears start pouring down my face as I hang up the phone and I know I'll never make it through the night alone

So tonight I need someone to hold me to get me through the night. And whisper to me softly everything will be alright. Someone who'll wipe away my tears if I should start to cry. But most of all I need someone who won't tell me goodbye.

Now my heart is finally mending as I get my life on track, when you decide to call me to say you want me back. I'm full of mixed emotions and I don't know what to do. Cause deep inside I know that I am still in love with you. And it takes all the strength inside me, in order not to cry as I go against my heart and say my love for you has died.
