Freedom Is All That I Know

I found me a road that took the place of a home.
I sometimes think about it and die.
It sometimes makes me smile because there have been good times.
And it takes my soul back in time....
I've seen storms and starvation and i have lived with sedation.
I've done things that I swore I'd never do.
I saved my tears being alone all of my years.
And I was once lost in the image of you.
I was a drunk and a fool who's body never fell.
Masking the pain that plagued me in the night.
I have to take downs to sleep but I recall everything.
Now I fear only the passage of time....
God gives me grace and not a moment too late!
But sometimes the hard times in my life seem to stand in stone!
Why do days turn to years with too much time and fear?!
And now I'm tired of always being alone....
